I watched the WGN 9 p.m. news tonight. The station's weatherman, Tom Skilling, said Chicago will have a high of 15 degrees tomorrow. But even at its highest peak, the temperature will feel like zero.
That's all I can say.
I can't remember the last time I wasn't cold.

Timing
I was right. It was a good thing I already made my decision about work versus Morocco because my case received a trial date. It's a four week trial beginning May 5. I leave for Morocco on May 12. I had a feeling these dates would overlap and they most certainly do.
When I first saw this schedule my heart sank. I thought it meant I would be booted from the trial process almost entirely - on a case I have spent the last 18 months of my working career focused on. Today I learned that is not necessarily how this may play out. The likely scenario is that I'll work 12 hour-plus days prepping for trial throughout the month of April and then spend a week or two in San Francisco at the trial, fly home for a day and then head to Morocco for a two-week vacation.
It will be a whirlwind. I am dizzy thinking about it now. I like travel but don't really consider myself a jet-set girl. That might change, but only for May 2008. For June 2008, I'll probably be a hermit.
